So, true confession,...this backsplash may have been done for quite a while and I may have been just avoiding the whole blog notion. I know right? not really need for a spoiler alert on that one. Ummm...March 11th. 'nuff said.
And you know I love bringing in the old pics to help myself feel better about what we have done so far...
But Aaron did do a fantastic job and I am loving it! There are still a few details to finish up in the kitchen but we are largely happy with it thus far - just have to kill off the other two appliances. :)
Went to a little wedding this past week-end. Found some inspiration on pinterest...I know right?? Who knew pinterest could do that? There's really no need to be creative anymore...other people do it sooo much better and it's so much easier to mindlessly rip off their successes (also avoiding the flops...)! :) Anyway - thought it was super cute and I just had to buy the stand - YAY!

I am so SO super excited to show you this project! It has been in my dreaming stage for much much too long and I am so happy to see it done and looking just as I had hoped! :) It was actually really quick and painless too, once I found a good tutorial and figured out all the math. Aaron showed up with an air nailer for the rails install so that definitely sped things up a bit as well! LOVE that guy! ...Funny how he disappeared again for the caulking and painting stage though.... ;) So proud of my little laundry room - lookin' less ugly all the time!

So - super happy to say that I have begun to purge my maternity clothes! And thus being the case, thought that I could try and repurpose some of them for my girls. And yeah - a little umm... surprised? how far these whole 'repurposes' may go....
So, my 'little' Old Navy summer skirt... has become,
a jersey dress for not one,
but two! Oh yes I did. Matching dresses. :) Funny/sad story...had I another girl,...definitely had enough left over to hook them up too! From the bolt,...I mean,...single skirt,...
So, I did something today that I've never ever done before. Found the recipe here, and was actually pretty skeptical that I could do it. But, gotta say,...
.....DELICIOUS. I think I'm going to have to do it again tomorrow. MAKE THEM!
Because really... what IS the official moratorium for maternity pants??
Happy Valentine's Day!!
It was Claire's first school valentine party today and so the two of us made up special little chocolate valentines for her class. It was a super cute idea - totally not mine - and pretty easy to put together....however, not as easy as buying a box of Disney princess cards which I'm sure she would have been JUST as excited about sadly! :) But, fun nonetheless...Just a Rolo chocolate bar with a Hershey Kiss on the end!

So I mentioned a few days ago that there remained a few projects that I had hoped to finish up for Adria's nursery and I am super excited to be done one of them!! :) Found some inspiration from etsy/pinterest and came up with owls and flowers to match her color scheme and tie in with the tree mural behind her bed. l had all the felt already so it cost me NOTHING and she is thus far completely infatuated with it so I'm happy! The little owls took me longer than I thought they would - but that seems to be the case with most things these days!
